What a great way to travel the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal,through your slideshows I have downloaded three large files and saved them FANTASTIC...Brian Woods

Thanks for your comment on our Blog. Just to say it is sad to see the waterways in decline at the moment. We did hire a boat many years ago on the Mon n Brec and enjoyed it so much that we are now able to travel about on the waterways of England.

My wife and I did the Brec in 1999. We went in April and it was fairly cold and even snowed while we crossed aquaduct. It was just around lambing season and we could see for ever because there was very little foilage yet (a huge benefit). I was just looking at the pictures from that trip and was reminded how truly beautiful and wondorous the experience was. I started doing some research and learned about the farily recent breah, but I understand things will be right again soon. Great bolg, great pix!

Some good photos along the lovely Brecon Canal, the spring Birds are so nice and relaxing to see.
